Village Hall Hire

Overlooking the picturesque valley of the River Windrush is Great Barrington Village Hall.  Built in 1835, the hall has a beautiful vaulted ceiling, sprung wooden dance floor, gallery area and a curtained stage. The main hall comfortably seats 100 at tables without being too cramped whilst still allowing room for dancing and a bar area. The kitchen includes a commercial oven, hot cupboard, water urn, microwave & dish washer and there is white crockery & stainless steel cutlery for 100. There are 26 folding buffet tables, 4 small round tables and 110 chairs which are available for use or you may hire in suitable furniture to fit in with your theme. The hall is surrounded by a grassed area which is suitable for a gazebo, marquee, bouncy castle, pig roast or bbq area.  There is a small area adjacent to the hall for car parking with plenty of allocated room in the football field for a large number of cars. Entertainment needs to end by midnight and guests need to vacate the hall by 12.30am.

Suitable as a venue for family celebrations, private functions and corporate events wedding receptions are our most popular event. The village of Great Barrington is situated 3 miles off the A40 about 4 miles West of Burford and is a very easy commute from Cheltenham, Oxford, Swindon, Stow on the Wold and Witney.  There is no accommodation in the immediate village however there are plenty of options and price ranges in Burford as this is a popular town with tourists.
